The Nord 2 from SMOK may look similar to the original Nord device, but the similarities end there!
The original Smok Nord Pod Mod was one of the most popular pod system devices in 2019, and here in 2020, the SMOK Nord 2 comes to the forefront once again with new innovations. With massive improvements in every department, the Nord 2 showcases the future of pod vaping.
Beneath the familiar chassis lies an integrated 1500mAh internal battery, which is 400mAh larger in capacity than the Nord, alongside a massive power boost from 15W up to 40W to rival SMOK's RPM40 and Fetch Mini kits!
The Nord 2 maintains design simplicity with a single firing button, but is upgraded with a 0.69" OLED screen displaying variable wattage settings, Ohm readings, voltage adjustments, and battery life.
Airflow is in the same position as the Nord, but features larger openings to accommodate higher power output. Another simple yet effective update is the pod connection mechanism, which now clicks securely into place feeling firm and comfortable rather than relying on the old magnetic design.
Each kit includes two pods: an RPM Pod compatible with the RPM coil series (pre-installed RPM 0.4Ohm Mesh Coil) and a Nord Pod compatible with replacement Nord coils (pre-installed Nord Dual 0.8Ohm MTL Coil). This gives you a choice of 12 coil options and accommodates RPM RBA coil use for DIY vaping.
Featuring the familiar curved mouthpiece, the Nord 2 is no different from its predecessors like the Novo, but it comes with an increased pod cartridge capacity of 4.5ml, making it even more user-friendly. Furthermore, it utilizes the Nord and RPM cartridge coils we know and love for excellent flavor and vapor production with both regular e-liquids and salt nicotine e-liquids.
One of the biggest upgrades is the IQ-N chip, making it a smarter device. With its increased battery size, the Nord 2 should easily last users through the day on a full charge. Coil resistance is automatically detected by the advanced chipset without needing to manually adjust settings. The chipset also protects against short circuits, low voltage, and includes an 8-second safety cut-off.
